Who We Are

Shreveport Bible Church is an evangelical non-denominational congregation.

Our values are reflected in these words:

Sharing God's Grace Together
Sharing God's Grace With Others
Growing in God's Grace Together
Celebrating God in Worship

Grace:
We strongly emphasize God's grace, His "unmerited favor". By grace we become a child of God when we place our faith in Jesus Christ alone. His grace also marks our daily living as a Christian. God desires our obedience as His children, but we remain His child by grace; not by our actions. And, because God deals graciously with us, we can model grace toward one another - by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others and by dealing graciously with one another.

Sharing and Growing:
The message we share is contained in the Word of God - the Bible. The way we grow is also described in the Bible. Thus, the heart of our teaching is the Bible. We strive to teach what it says in a way that is applicable to people's needs today.

Together:
We believe the church is a community - a place where people can come for comfort when they are hurting, for encouragement when they are discouraged, and for counsel when they are struggling. We want people to feel that SBC is part of their extended family and so we place a strong emphasis on doing things together. We also encourage each person who calls SBC their home to use their gifts and abilities within the church serving others.

Worship:
The primary purpose of worship is to honor God. We have a relaxed contemporary worship service. We use contemporary choruses and also some traditional hymns.
