Men's Ministry

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another" (Prov. 27:17, NIV)

This proverb points out that men need other men in their lives to sharpen their character. Building this kind of relationship must be an intentional act -they rarely happen by chance in our world. The men's ministry of SBC wants to help build those relationships.

We do this in several ways:

Men's Bible Studies: We offer several Bible studies during the week. The focus is not just Bible content, but application of the content in our lives. Our Tuesday night study is working through practical implications from Proverbs - wisdom in living. We also have a day-time study, which is presently studying the biblical evidence for eternal security.

"Fun Times": We also try to have a variety of opportunities just to "hang out". These may include dinners, canoe trips, going to ball games, golfing, and just about anything else someone can put together!

Any man is invited to join any or all of these activities. Even if you think you may be joining "mid stream", come anyway. Come, sharpen, and be sharpened!
